Canandaigua Junior Baseball and Softball (CJB) is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for our community. While the games of baseball and softball hold a special place in our heart, the health and safety of our entire CJB community is our main concern. These guidelines are meant to comply with all Federal, State, and local guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19.
New for the 2021 season and in accordance with updated guidance from New York State, we’ve streamlined these requirements from last year’s version. All CJB participants (defined here as spectators, parents, coaches, players, volunteers, and officials) are expected to follow these guidelines.
Your participation in Canandaigua Junior Baseball & Softball indicates your acceptance, understanding, and commitment to follow these guidelines in any applicable capacity.
Promoting Behaviors to Reduce the Spread of COVID
All CJB participants, coaches, and volunteers must assess for COVID symptoms daily. Per the CDC, COVID symptoms include shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, cough, fever, chills, muscle pain, headaches, sore throat, and the loss of taste or smell.
Any participant, coach, or volunteer experiencing COVID symptoms must stay at home; anyone taking part in a CJB event must be symptom-free for 14-days.
CJB will provide adequate supplies for participants to comply with requirements. CJB will provide supplies including soap, sanitizer, paper towels, tissues, and wipes. CJB will post signs on its premises and online reminding participants of the infection control requirements that are in effect.
- Physical distancing markers will be posted in common and high-traffic areas such as the concessions stand and restrooms.
- These requirements will be posted on the CJB website, social media sites, and sent via e-mail to participants.
