COVID-19 Prevention

Handling a COVID Event

  • Participants who exhibit COVID symptoms at a CJB game or practice will be isolated and medical care for the individual will be sought; affected areas will be closed off and sanitized in a manner and timeframe consistent with CDC guidelines.
  • CJB will immediately notify Ontario County Department of Public Health about any suspected COVID exposure or case.
  • CJB will retain event schedule information, team rosters and staff information; CJB will provide this information to Ontario County Department of Public Health to assist in contact tracing of exposed/potentially infected individuals.
  •  CJB will act in accordance with privacy laws and regulations and notify CJB participants of a COVID exposure at a CJB event. To the best of our ability, CJB will disclose the date and time of the exposure.
  • CJB will take all other direction from the Ontario County Department of Public Health as related to any mandatory quarantines or communication.

If you are concerned about possible at exposure at CJB or otherwise, monitor for symptoms, stay home if necessary, and contact your personal health professional.

COVID-19 Resources

All bats carry a certification, most commonly USA, USSSA, or BBCOR. All CJB House League levels between TBall and Major must use ONLY USA certified bats. USSSA or BBCOR bats are not permitted at these levels. All CJB House League bats should include the following label:

USA Bats

The USA Baseball standard applies to the Little League organization (as well as CJB House baseball). USA certified bats have a wood-like performance that preserves the integrity of the game and keeps younger players as safe as possible.

Other Certifications

The following bat certifications are NOT APPROVED for CJB House League use.

BBCOR

The Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) measures the trampoline effect in each bat at and after the time of impact. BBCOR certified bats are most commonly at the high school and college level. Note: BBCOR bats are required for Senior League Fall Ball (levels 13U and older).

USSSA BPF

Bat Performance Factor (BPF) measures how fast the ball comes off of the bat. 1.15 is the standard for many travel tournaments.
