Q: What should I know about the Coronavirus and the league?
Important information regarding the Coronavirus and the 2020 season is available here

Q: Can I get a refund due to the Coronavirus situation?
Yes. Please email a refund request to Sara Baskin by Friday, June 26. Be sure to include the following information:

Your name
Child’s name
Child's division (t-ball, rookie, etc)
Address to send refund check
Reason for refund
Any amount you’d be willing to donate to help out non for profit 


Q: What division should my child register for?
A: Divisions are based primarily on birth date. For the 2020 season, divisions and applicable dates are as follows: 

T-ball (4-6)

Born May '13 thru April '16

(6-year-olds with T-ball experience may be considered for Rookie division with parent & coach approval)


Rookie (6-8)

Born May '11 thru August '13

(6-year-olds with T-ball experience may be considered for Rookie division with parent & coach approval)


Minor (8-10)

Born September '09 thru August '11


Major (10-13)

Born September '06 thru August '09

Q: According to the dates above, my child should be in T-ball, but they've already played T-ball for two years. Can my child move up to Rookie?
 6-year-olds with T-ball experience may be considered for play in the Rookie division with parent and coach approval. Reach out to  Sara Baskin (315-573-5920) once you've completed registration to ensure proper placement in the correct division.

Q: I'm considering enrolling my child in T-Ball or Rookie. What kind of time commitment is involved?
 Weather permitting, teams may include 1-2 practices prior to Opening Day (T-ball and Rookie teams do not practice once the season starts).

Q: What affiliation is Canandaigua Junior Baseball & Softball?
 Beginning Spring 2020, CJB Minor and Softball divisions are subject to Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball® rules and regulations.

Q: When is Opening Day (and how long is the season)?

A: The season is scheduled to run (weather permitting) from Opening Day, April 25, 2020, through June 20, 2020. Update: due to the Coronavirus outbreak, opening day has been rescheduled. 

Q: My family has plans on Memorial Day weekend - will my child miss baseball?
A: There are no games Memorial Day weekend.  

Q: What should I know about softball?
A: Softball games run between Monday and Saturday (exact dates will be finalized once registration is complete. Softball does include limited travel as the season includes play against other teams in the Finger Lakes.  

Q: Do I have to register online?
A: No! You can also register by mail and/or at one of our in-person events. See our Registration page for more information.  Important! The deadline for registration for the Summer 2020 season is Friday, June 26th.
